![]() Out of the ashes: Live from New York
How has New York and America coped with the tragedy of 11 September?
From Monday 10 December until 14 December BBC News Online is reporting live from New York, its state and neighbours on the lasting impact of the events of the past three months. We will be taking an in depth look at the lives of those affected, what kind of city New York has become and where it goes from here. You can take part in all of this by sending your questions to our correspondent in New York, Peter Gould, and the people he and the BBC News Online team will be meeting. Find out more by clicking on the locations:
MONDAY 1330GMT/0830EST:
Our guests include a teenager who lost her father, a city fireman, a chaplain and town officials. Find out what they have experienced over the past three months - and where they, their community and the whole of America goes from here. Click here to send your questions
TUESDAY 1430 GMT/0930EST:
BBC News Online will be talking to those with first hand experience of the work to date - and the task that still remains. Since 11 September emergency teams and demolition experts have cleared thousands and thousands of tonnes of rubble from the site. At the same time, they have recovered the remains of as many people as they could - but many more will never be found. Click here to send your questions
WEDNESDAY 1400GMT/0900EST:
How has New York coped with the economic fall-out of the attacks?
We'll be live at Wall St to find out how the city has fared since 11 September.
You can put your questions to one one of the city's economic experts, and a bank employee who escaped from the World Trade Center collapse.
Send your questions for this forum from Tuesday.
THURSDAY 1330GMT/0830EST:
We'll be live at a school that saw in full view what was happening in Manhattan. What will be the lasting impact on a generation of children growing up in a changed America? Will they feel safe the way their parents' generation did? We'll be asking young people, their teachers and parents what they think of what has happened and how they view the war in Afghanistan. Send your questions for this forum from Wednesday.
FRIDAY 1330GMT/0830EST:
We'll be asking what New York and America should do to remember those who died. How can a city and a country come to terms with the events in New York and Washington? Among our guests will be an architect and ordinary citizens of the city already taking part in the debate over how to mark 11 September 2001. Send your questions and comments for this forum from Thursday.
