To celebrate 50 years of From Our Own Correspondent, BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service will be broadcasting special editions of the programme in which you can hear how the world of the foreign correspondent has changed since 1955 and listen to a selection of memorable FOOC moments from the BBC sound archives.

Among them, Allan Little describes the dying days of Congolese President Mobutu's regime, Brian Barron remembers the fall of Saigon, Fergal Keane considers the importance of good storytelling and Michael Elkins explains why he was called to account by Israel's Prime Minister, Golda Meir.
