John Bercow has been re-elected as Commons Speaker, despite a handful of objections, as MPs returned to the Commons after the general election.
Mr Bercow said it would be an "honour" to serve again and pledged to "defend the rights of backbenchers".
According to custom he was dragged to the Speaker's Chair following his appointment.
