Australia cruised to an emphatic win over an under-performing Indian side at Centurion on Saturday.
The reigning champions had little trouble reaching the paltry 126 target set by their opponents and powered to their second Group A success with more than 27 overs to spare.
Matthew Hayden finished with an unbeaten 45 to take his one-day career total past the 2,000-run mark, while fellow opener Adam Gilchrist produced an impressive 48 before being stumped by Rahul Dravid.

Earlier, Australia ripped through the Indian batting order in just 41.4 overs, emphasizing contrasting the World Cup fortunes of the two teams.
While Jason Gillespie produced one of the great bowling spells in World Cup history, ending with figures of 10-2-13-3, India were left to reflect on their lowest ever total in the tournament.
It was also their third worst performance against Australia after scoring 63 in 1981 and 100 in 2000.

India's plans started to go awry in the sixth over when Brett Lee had captain Sourav Ganguly caught behind by wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist.
He then followed up to remove Virender Sehwag in similar manner for the second of three wickets for 36 off nine.
All the attack chipped in with Glenn McMcGrath, Brad Hogg and Darren Lehmann claiming a wicket each.
But it was Gillespie who earned man of the match status, taking Dravid's wicket with his first ball and later taking the significant scalp of Sachin Tendulkar.

Batting legend Tendulkar was one of the only Indian players to offer any resistance before Gillespie trapped him lbw on the back foot for a top score of 36.
Yet another disappointing performance from the out-of-sorts Indians, following on from their unimpressive success over Holland earlier in the week, allowed Australia to go into bat full of confidence.
Hayden and Gilchrist eased to an opening stand of 100 before captain Ricky
Ponting, 24 not out, finished the job.
